About Dr Eric (C-T) Chen

Dr. Eric Chen is a Specialist Endodontist who speaks English and Mandarin.

Dr Chen was born in Taiwan, went to New Zealand at the age of 15 and attended high school in Christchurch.  He obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand in 2001.  After working for 7 years as a private general dentist in Auckland, he returned to the University of Otago to pursue his passion in Endodontics and completed his Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in 2011.  After graduation, Dr Chen relocated to Sydney and joined the StarCare Dental Specialist Group as an associate Endodontist in Chatswood and Penrith.  In 2023 Dr Chen partnered up with Dr. Lim and opened Georges River Dental Specialists in Hurstville.

Dr Chen believes in continuing education and frequently attends conferences as well as regularly acquires updates on the most recent scientific publications to strive for evidence-based clinical excellence.  He also actively contributes to seminars and lectures and have presented on occasions in Sydney.

At his off time, Dr Chen exercises regularly and enjoys basketball, snowboarding and skiing with family and friends.
